Renate Saggau

Renate is a native German. She holds a MA in German Language and Literature from Munich’s prestigious Ludwig Maximillians University and is a specialist in Foreign Language Acquisition. In addition to teaching classes at all proficiency levels, she is specializing in distance learning courses and using the Internet for language teaching. Renate had been as an Instructor, Teachers Liaison and Senior Administrator of the Language Department with the Goethe-Institut Houston since 1990. After its closure in 1999, she founded German Language Consulting, to continue the Goethe-Institute’s work and mission. In 2006, she instituted the German Language Center with an extended program and its own campus. In 2006 she also founded Kinderspiel - a unique German-English Dual Immersion Program for PreSchoolers in Houston. In 2009 she founded the first German American Elementary School in Houston.
